Unfortunately, since we have closed our boarding service, we are no longer able to rescue German Shepherds. We thank each and every one of you who have provided forever homes for the 141 dogs we have placed and anyone who helped us in this endeavor.

Blue Ribbon German Shepherd Rescue (BRGSR) is an organization dedicated to providing veterinary care, temperament evaluation & adoptive homes for the countless numbers of purebred German Shepherd Dogs who are either surrendered by their owner (divorce, death, etc.), left in pounds to await uncertain fate, or are from abusive or neglectful situations. We help provide a safe harbor for German Shepherds who might otherwise be destroyed.

All dogs accepted into our program are evaluated for their behavior and temperament. All are spayed or neutered and receive essential medical care. The dogs are then housed in our boarding facility at Blue Ribbon Canine Centre in Dorval until a new permanent home can be found. Each dog is carefully placed in a loving home with a family that matches that dog's temperament, activity level and needs.

Finding new homes for unwanted and abused German Shepherds is demanding - financially, physically and emotionally. Without the support of our many friends we could not help nearly as many dogs as we do.
